My integrative approach centers on lived experience and storytelling, drawing on trauma-informed care, culturally responsive practices, radical acceptance, mindfulness, and coping skill development. I believe that laughter is healing, and I welcome humour within the therapeutic space to bring lightness to the heaviness that can arise. My style is gentle yet direct, supporting you in moving forward with compassion and clarity.

My “why” comes from knowing what it feels like to navigate systems not designed for us to live comfortably or sometimes even safely. You don’t have to “believe in mental health” to benefit from being seen, heard, and supported. I practice therapy because I believe it should be for everyone: a grassroots act of compassion, accountability, and bravery within a world that often makes it hard to ask for help. Change is not always quick or straightforward – often, it is four steps forward and two steps back – but every step matters. Regardless of the timeline, progress is possible, and your efforts are valid. My goal is to walk alongside you, centering relationship and creating a space where both your strengths and struggles are welcome, while also holding space for the broader systems that shape our lives.
Karah’s fees are:
50-Minute Session: $220
80-Minute Session: $330

Karah’s appointments can be direct billed to Alberta Blue Cross, ASEBP, Canada Life, GreenShield and Medavie (which includes Veterans Affairs), Manulife, Chambers of Commerce, Claimsecure, Desjardins, First Canadian and Beneva.
