I work primarily from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) lens, which means we would be looking for the core beliefs that are negatively impacting you, and reshaping those, while also looking at any behavioural patterns that can be reshaped to help you achieve your therapeutic goals! CBT is about learning and unlearning, breaking bad habits and building good ones, and understanding why or where we had those bad habits so we can address the problem at its core!
I believe that we are who we are because of our own unique lived experiences, and it is because of those unique experiences that I work from a bottom-up, client-centred lens. You know yourself best, and I am here to meet you where you're at and assist in your personal growth with the tools that suit you.
It's cliche, but I have always known I wanted to be in a career where I help others! From volunteer experiences growing up, and being the friend that held space for others when they needed it, I realized that being a therapist was my natural match. Being a small part of other's journeys to self-actualization is a privilege I am thankful for.
