“Hello! I’m Keisha. Beyond the therapeutic approaches, the relationship between you and your therapist is crucial. When I think of this relationship, empathy, trust, and compassion come to mind. I believe that you are the expert on your own life and only through a safe and open environment can we identify and develop the strengths you’ll need to reclaim your confidence, optimism, and resilience.”

  • My Approach

I always seek to create an environment that allows you to feel heard, seen, and safe. When things feel too much or heavy, I hope I can create and hold space for you. Depending on your needs, we may use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and more.

  • My Philosophy

If we are sick, we take steps to heal ourselves. If we break a bone, we take steps to heal ourselves. If we scrape our knee, we take steps to heal ourselves. However, too often we don’t address the pain that others can’t see. A lot of the time, the hardest part is getting started and here you are! Let’s take the next step together in learning how to heal.

  • My Why

I am, unfortunately, part of the very large population that was impacted by trauma at a very young age. I know how detrimental enduring such experiences can be and want to be the support for others who may have had the same or similar experience. I knew that my life purpose was to make meaning of my adverse experiences, and helping others who have gone through tough struggles means a lot to me.
