The CMHA Edmonton Distress Line is available 24/7 and provides confidential, non-judgmental and short-term crisis intervention, emotional support and resources to people in crisis or distress. They also support family, friends and caregivers of people in crisis.

The Alberta Health Services Mental Health Help Line is available 24/7 and provides support as well as information and referrals to all Albertans coping with mental health concerns. The nurses, psychiatric nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and psychologists providing support can help with crisis support, addiction screening and assessment over the phone, information about mental health topics, strategies that you can use at home to support your emotional well-being, and information about accessing local services.
