As we’re just getting started, we’re not offering sliding scale at this time. We do have plans to offer this accommodation in the future. We’ll update our website and socials when sliding scale becomes available!
FAQ Category: For Parents
What if my child or teen doesn’t like their therapist?
We know how important the client-therapist relationship is to successful outcomes and we will do everything in our power to find the right fit for your child or youth. We encourage you to bring this concern up with your child’s therapist and provide any additional details that can help us find the right fit.
As a parent, do I have to be at every session my child goes to?
The very first session is when our DiveThru therapists will require your presence in order to obtain consent for your child or teen (anyone under 18 years of age) to participate in therapy. In this session, you and the child’s therapist can discuss family involvement in future sessions. If your child is 12 years or younger, we reserve that very first session for a meeting between the therapist and the legal guardian(s) only to discuss your child’s therapy plan. ***Please note: only legal guardians can provide consent. If parents are separated or divorced and have joint custody, BOTH parents will need to provide consent for the child or youth to participate in therapy. If one parent has sole custody of the child, please bring guardianship documents to the first session.***
