We know how important the client-therapist relationship is to successful outcomes and we will do everything in our power to find the right fit for your child or youth. We encourage you to bring this concern up with your child’s therapist and provide any additional details that can help us find the right fit.
The very first session is when our DiveThru therapists will require your presence in order to obtain consent for your child or teen (anyone under 18 years of age) to participate in therapy. In this session, you and the child’s therapist can discuss family involvement in future sessions. If your child is 12 years or younger, we reserve that very first session for a meeting between the therapist and the legal guardian(s) only to discuss your child’s therapy plan. ***Please note: only legal guardians can provide consent. If parents are separated or divorced and have joint custody, BOTH parents will need to provide consent for the child or youth to participate in therapy. If one parent has sole custody of the child, please bring guardianship documents to the first session.***
Our 50 minute counselling sessions are $200. Starting on September 1, 2023, we will be adjusting our 50 minute counselling sessions to $220 and our 80 minute counselling sessions to $330. These adjustments are reflective of the rates recommended by the Psychological Association of Alberta earlier this year, on January 1, 2023.
At DiveThru, we have a Reduced Rate Therapy program that you may be eligible for. To apply for the program, check out the Reduced Rate Therapy page on our website.
