My approach to therapy is both empathic and direct, creating a safe space for you to share your most vulnerable truths while gently illuminating areas that may be holding you back. In our sessions, I will be your supportive listener and your biggest cheerleader, motivating you to take action and step outside of your comfort zone. While therapy can be challenging, I aim to make it enjoyable by bringing positivity, an optimistic outlook, and even a bit of humor into the process. I believe in fostering a collaborative environment where therapy meets your unique needs and expectations. Whether you want a space to express your thoughts, exchange ideas, engage in structured exercises, or be assigned homework, I am committed to tailoring each session to suit you. I also deeply value feedback, ensuring that our work together is aligned with your goals. I believe there's a balance between exploring your past and focusing on the present to create meaningful change moving forward. My primary approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), though I also incorporate techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Gestalt Therapy—all tailored to best support you.
My philosophy is that mental health exists on a spectrum, and everyone has it. It’s okay to need support in navigating life, and just like physical health, mental health is equally important and should be accessible to all. Through my extensive experience in social services, I’ve become acutely aware of the privileges I’ve had in my own life. This has deepened my commitment to prioritizing cultural sensitivity and humility in my practice. I approach therapy from a humanistic, client-centered, and trauma-informed perspective, putting my clients at the center of their journey. I believe you are the expert on yourself, and I will work alongside you, guiding the process based on your unique needs and experiences.
I decided to become a Mental Health Therapist because, from a young age, I recognized that not everyone has access to a strong support system—yet such a system is essential for thriving in life. As humans, we are built for connection, and no one should ever feel alone while navigating the challenges of life. This realization has driven me to dedicate myself to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health, and I am committed to finding ways to make mental health services more accessible and affordable for everyone.
