  • My Approach

Finding a therapist who aligns well with your needs is crucial for successful therapy. As my client, you can expect humour, warmth, transparency, and practicality, interspersed with discussions about how your brain is wired. I focus on concerns holistically and will likely inquire about your relationship with sleep, food, stress, work, and physical activity while working directly on your main challenges. Therapy is an investment, and I want to ensure you are getting the most out of it! That being said, I will flexibly operate at a pace that works best for your current needs and push a little more as you heal, grow, and feel ready for next steps.

  • My Philosophy

Although it may not feel possible during a personal struggle, I believe transformational change is attainable. My integrative neuroscience-based approach considers attachment, emotions, trauma, habits, culture, and context. I describe my approach as trauma-informed, culturally responsive, intersectional feminist, anti-oppressive, feedback-driven, and person-centred. As a Sikh Punjabi person, I also recognize the importance of having a therapist practice cultural sensitivity and humility and therefore, have a special interest in working with people of colour facing personal and relational challenges. Even if starting therapy has been on your mind for some time, taking concrete steps can be daunting, so I commend you for reaching this point! My goal is to support your growth and healing through personalized, evidence-based practices. As a Sikh Punjabi Canadian woman, I recognize the importance of having a therapist familiar with your culture. I am passionate about supporting Sikh, Punjabi, and other South Asian individuals on their healing journeys. Even if starting therapy has been on your mind for some time, taking concrete steps can be daunting, so I commend you for reaching this point! My goal is to support your growth and healing through personalized, evidence-based practices.

  • My Why

I was referred to as my family and friends' "therapist" long before I chose this career. I genuinely enjoy learning people's stories, supporting them in times of need, and applying my skills and knowledge to help them improve. I understand that therapy is an investment, so it is important to me that my client’s get the most out of this experience.
