  • My Approach

I use a person-centred, strengths-based approach that aims to empower individuals and build safety in our therapeutic alliance. I am warm and friendly, and I use humour when appropriate. I may also be direct and challenge clients when needed to encourage growth and change. I am intentionally integrative and utilize modalities informed by cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). I also integrate compassion, mindfulness, and solution-focused approaches as needed.

  • My Philosophy

I believe people thrive in environments where they are respected and their perspectives are truly heard. I work from a client-centered, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and holistic lens that seeks to understand the interconnected mind, body, and spirit factors that can keep us feeling stuck. Building a strong, trusting alliance is at the forefront of my work as we collaborate to process your unique journey.

  • My Why

I’ve long had a passion for helping others and a curiosity about how and why the brain works the way it does. Throughout my adolescence and young adulthood, I faced a variety of life’s challenges that led me to seek and benefit from therapy. I believe therapy offers hope, the opportunity for anyone to grow, heal, and become their best self. Experiencing the possibility of healing firsthand inspired me to pursue a career as a counselling psychologist
