  • My Approach

My therapeutic style is friendly, collaborative, and adaptable with a touch of humor. Additionally, I emphasize clients’ strengths and resources, encouraging them to recognize their resilience and capabilities. I also believe that culturally informed therapy is important, and I recognize and respect the diverse backgrounds of my clients. My approach integrates an understanding of how culture, identity, and systemic factors shape individual experiences and mental health.

  • My Philosophy

In my perspective, therapy should be healing, and the most effective approach to therapy should be integrative. I draw from various modalities to best meet the unique needs of each client. My approach is person-centered, where each therapeutic relationship should be based on trust, empathy, and respect. I often incorporate CBT techniques to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, fostering healthier ways of thinking and coping. Lastly, understanding the impact of trauma is essential, and using trauma-informed care allows clients to feel safe to discuss their experiences at their own pace.

  • My Why

Growing up as a first-generation immigrant and person of colour, the lack of representation in the mental health field made it difficult to find someone I could truly open up to. Helping someone through their journey, whether it’s coping with trauma, managing stress, or exploring their identity, feels incredibly meaningful to me. I want to create a safe space where individuals can express themselves and find clarity, helping them move toward a more fulfilling life.
