  • My Approach

Regardless of which therapeutic modality is being applied, the most important determinant of the success of therapy, is in the relationship between the client and the therapist! I work with children, teens and adults experiencing life challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and life stress. I support my clients to gain greater self awareness and to identify patterns of thought and behavior that may be ‘getting in the way’ of a fulfilling life. I apply my training in areas such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Counselling, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, Trauma-Informed Practice, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Critical Incident Stress Management.

  • My Philosophy

I am a Masters-level Therapist, with over 30 years of experience in the field of mental health and wellness. I work with all ages of clients, from children and teens, through to adults (including both individuals and couples). My approach is founded on a strengths-based, client-centered and trauma-informed perspective. I support my clients in identifying places where they are ‘stuck’ and assist them in crafting goals to improve their quality of life.

  • My Why

My professional journey of becoming a therapist evolved naturally from my childhood, where I was exposed to ideals of social justice and humanitarianism early on. I have an insatiable curiosity about human nature and am honoured to walk alongside my clients, as they discover their strengths and learn to navigate life in a way that serves them well.
