Is the building wheelchair accessible?
Yes! For our Whyte Studio, wheelchair access is located at the back of the building. St. Albert and Windermere have access from the sidewalk at the front. Once you book your first appointment, you’ll receive an email with more details about the building. If you’ll be using the wheelchair access, we’d love to hear from you with a quick email in advance—we want to make sure you have a smooth and easy experience accessing our studios.
How do I pay for my session?
When booking your session, the platform will prompt you to enter and save your credit card information. To book an appointment, you have to have a card saved on file. At the beginning of each session, the clinic coordinator will ask you if it is OK to charge your credit card. If you choose not to charge your credit card, you can pay in cash or debit. If you are attending a virtual session, your credit card will be charged before or shortly after your session.
What are your fees?
Our 50-minute counselling sessions to $220 and our 80-minute counselling sessions to $330. Our rates are reflective of the rates recommended by the Psychological Association of Alberta.
Do you offer sliding scale?
At DiveThru, we have a Reduced Rate Therapy program that you may be eligible for. To apply for the program, check out the Reduced Rate Therapy page on our website.
Do you direct bill to insurance providers?
Yes! Our therapy services are covered by most insurance providers; please note that your insurance coverage depends on your provider, as well as your plan. Whether or not we can successfully direct bill them may still depend on your insurance plan and/or the type of therapist you have attended a session with. In the event that we are not able to direct bill to your plan, you can still submit your therapy receipt for reimbursement! What is your cancellation policy?
We request that you give us as much notice as possible when canceling or rescheduling your appointment so that we can open up that slot time for someone else who may really need it. For cancellations that are less than 48 hours in advance, we will be charging the full session price.
Can I re-match with a different therapist?
We know the therapist-client fit is so important to the therapeutic relationship and we will do everything in our power to make sure you and your DiveThru Therapist are the right match. If you feel that you may not be the right fit and would like to see a different therapist, please feel comfortable bringing that up with your current therapist! We promise they want what’s best for you. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, you can always email us at hello@divethru.com or give us a call (find the individual number on the studio info page).
What if I can’t come in person?
We are currently serving Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario virtually. If you’re in Edmonton area or St. Albert, you can also attend a mixture of in-person and virtual appointments.
