“I use cultural humility, reflexivity, and critical approaches in my day to day practice with folx on an individual, group, and community level. As a BIPOC (South Asian-Canadian) therapist who identifies in intersectionalities and has experience in navigating a bicultural identity, I recognize the value of a space that allows someone to be seen and heard. Philosophy

I believe that you are your expert. Although our work is collaborative, your needs and who you are ultimately guide the therapeutic process.

I regularly incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities into my work. Every person is unique and no two nervous systems are the same, so no technique is the same. Every session can be different depending on what your nervous system needs and what your nervous system has capacity for.

Approach

I use cultural humility, reflexivity, and critical approaches in my day to day practice with folx on an individual, group, and community level. My approach is eclectic and I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, couples, and families in a range of different settings. My practice is informed by a holistic, collaborative, and culturally informed lens rooted in anti-oppressive, intersectional, and trauma-informed approaches.

I strive to create a practice space that feels safe and inviting for all of my clients, including those that come from intersectional and diverse backgrounds; using intentional frameworks to understand their perspectives and meet folx where they are at. I truly believe the essence of good mental health support comes from a genuine relational approach, I love learning from my clients while supporting them in achieving their goals.

As a BIPOC (South Asian-Canadian) therapist who identifies in intersectionalities and has experience in navigating a bicultural identity, I recognize the value of a space that allows someone to be seen and heard. I hope to create and hold this space for you as you embark on your healing journey.

A Bit About Me

Although I am definitely not an artist, I love finding beauty in creativity whether it’s a DIY project or a colorful new recipe! My favourite way to unwind is lighting a yummy candle, listening to my current favourites playlist, and incorporating my own take on a new recipe. This experience is even better when I get to share it with someone!
