My approach to therapy is grounded in both Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and somatic-based practices. ACT emphasizes the importance of psychological flexibility—learning to accept what we cannot control, while choosing actions that move us closer to our values and the life we want to live. This approach helps clients become more present, open to their experiences, and intentional in how they move forward. Somatic-based therapy recognizes the deep connection between mind and body. Stress, trauma, and resilience often live in the nervous system, and I incorporate mindfulness, breathwork, and gentle body-based practices to support healing that words alone may not reach. Alongside these foundations, my therapeutic style is collaborative, curious, and often lighthearted. I ask meaningful questions that help clients expand their ways of thinking, and I believe humour—when used thoughtfully —can be a powerful tool. It creates ease, reduces tension, and allows difficult topics to be explored with openness and resilience.
I believe therapy is not about “fixing” people, but about creating the right conditions for healing and growth to naturally emerge. I see every person as already carrying the potential for change within them, and my role is to help clients reconnect with this capacity. In sessions, I invite clients to notice the wisdom of both mind and body. Stress, trauma, and resilience often live in our nervous systems, and by using mindfulness, breath, and gentle body-based practices, space can open up for healing that words alone may not reach. I also emphasize the importance of living in alignment with what matters most. While some challenges may be outside of our control, we can choose actions that move us closer to our values and create more meaningful, fulfilling lives. Compassion and lightheartedness guide my work. At times, humour can ease heavy moments, making room for hope and resilience even in the face of difficulty. Ultimately, I strive to provide a supportive and empowering space for adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or neurodivergence—walking alongside them as they build resilience, self-acceptance, and a path forward rooted in what matters most.
I believe in the importance of having someone truly listen, support, and walk alongside us during life’s challenges. My passion is creating a safe space where people feel understood and empowered to grow. It’s meaningful to me to offer the kind of guidance and support that can make a lasting difference in someone’s life.
