As a client, it is important that you are able to express yourself freely through thoughts, emotions, and a safe space. My therapeutic approach caters to exactly that—the opportunity to be you. I use an integrative approach consisting of evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), along with humanistic and mindfulness approaches. No one modality works for everyone, and I am quick to adapt depending on your needs for the day, session, or moment. I have been told I am human in sunshine form, meaning I will shower you with compassion, empathy, and positive regard; however, I can be direct when needed. As you process through the uncomfortable feelings and moments, I am right there with you, likely feeling them too.
I strongly value the unique individual that you are. My therapeutic approach embraces all that you are while providing a safe, compassionate, judgment-free space for you to share your story. As an anxious individual myself, I understand the self-doubting, overthinking inner critic who can talk you out of seeking the love, support, and care you crave. By using a trauma-informed lens and client-centred approach, I will support you in finding clarity and healing while fostering self-compassion and fulfillment.
My journey has not been without challenges. I have been in and out of therapy since I was fifteen years old. Each therapeutic experience generated learnings and opportunities for growth, shaping the possibilities of what could be. My endeavours in therapy were life-changing and simultaneously fuelled my passion for mental health. This experience motivated me to pay it forward. No one should struggle alone or feel that their challenges are insurmountable.
